Packerland

So yesterday at work. I was doing my typical thing and I noticed someone with a cart was kinda in the middle of both registers, I glanced up and guess who it was:
AARON ROGERS!
I smiled at him and he smiled back. I looked at my co-worker Nick, and he was going to get done before me! Nick didn't even recognize Aaron! I knew I had to get him in my line. I felt bad for the lady after, but I was packing her things up as fast as I could. I handed her the recipt real quickly, and she was just taking her time with her purse!!! In my head I'm like "OMG NO!"
Fortunately she moved asside to get all her htings together.... and up strolled Aaron!
I could feel my heart getting super fast, and my face starting to blush. In my head I'm thinking "Amanda you can't blush that is so embarrassing" So I tired to play it cool
"hi!"
"hi"
"How r u doing?"
"ok"
"Did u find everything alright?"
"yup"
*picked up the Laura Ashley pillow he was buying*
"O these are really nice pillows, we get a lot of good feedback on them"
"Really? good. My current ones are kinda wearing out..."

We actually held a conversation! At the end of the transaction I handed him a receipt and said "Have a good day! The exit is going to be that way..." He smiled and said "Thanks". Put his sunglasses and hat on (he didn't want to be recognized. And left the building. As soon as he left, my co worker Katie goes "Was that Aaron Rogers?" I just nod while fanning myself, my heart still racing. She laughed and said "My husband is going to flip!" It took at good 15 minutes for my heart to get back to regular speed!
I CANNOT BELIEVE I GOT TO TALK WITH AARON ROGERS!
Made my day
In the past I've gotten to work with Clay Matthews, who is a rookie starter, but to talk to the starting QB.... that's fricken awesome!
I wonder who will come wondering in tonight...... maybe Donald Driver? ya never know!
a girl can dream.....
It's times like this where I LOVE living in Green Bay.

Straight Line

From and outsiders perspective it may look like I'm going in one big circle...
I am in the same position in life as I was 3 years ago in a lot of different ways...
But if they knew
how much I changed
how much I've grown
how far I've come
then they'd see that even tho I'm in the same situations
they are COMPLETELY different
I'm going in a line
a very straight line
I am leaving a trail of laughs, tears, hugs, kisses, and pain behind me.
I'm living for the present
I'm looking forward
and I'm happy.

7 classes + 30 hours working = X-0

I have been so busy this week.
With 7 classes and work giving me 30 hours… it’s been crazy. I closed the last two nights and tonight. Saturday night I work till 9. I also have to play for Wally’s niece to audition for a reception dinner on Saturday and I have had no time to practice for that. Sunday I am babysitting twin boys for the Packer game so that should be interesting…
I’ve actually started to get homework too. But my grades are doing really really well. Got an A+ on my theory and sightsinging tests. A’s on my theory homework. 92 on my keyboarding, partially due to the fact that it was fricken cold in the room so my fingers got stiff, plus I suck at scales. :-)
I’m taking notes on my macbook for environmental science and economic and staying very organized. We’ve only had one assignment in economics and it was pretty easy. I also know two people in the class now so we email each other if we have questions.
My science teacher reminds me of the teacher from South Park because she has the most ridiculous accent ever and says “mk?” a lot. She is a feminist, tree hugging, “single with cat” woman. She keeps the class interesting enough though so I guess I can’t complain.
Voice lessons are going well. She is having my focus on breathing deeper, way into my gut. We are also focusing on getting me to sing like I’m taking a bit into an apple, putting the sound right up front. I’m not sure how I feel about it, but I remember Mrs. Norman doing an exercise with me a few times that was trying the same thing. I’ll just have to trust her. I’m bringing a recorder to my lesson next week so then I can record and see for myself how I sound before and after. It’s rough having voice lesson twice a week on a busy week, seems like there is not time to practice in between.
But my birthday is in 6 days! ☺ Always look on the bright side of life!

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly.
Forgive quickly.
God never said life would be easy.
He just promised it would be worth it.

Adjusting

I am doing pretty good. It's a big adjustment. UWGB is a Division 1 state school, so it's pretty big. I have my first lecture hall class: 120 people. I actually have 2 lecture halls: economics (which I can't understand the teacher in, he's Indian) and science (our professor is a crazy old cat women). I only got lost once in the tunnels and overall am finding my way around pretty darn good. I actually like having a campus, I just wish I could meet more people.

I had to start over with Theory. booooo. So I'm with the freshman in Theory 1. It's so basic, but it is kinda a breather from the intenseness that is CCPA Theory. It'll definitely boost up my GPA.
I just had my first voice lesson today. It's really different from the way the CCPA runs it. First off I only have to take voice lessons 3 out of 4 years, once a week for 45 minutes. I got placed with Sarah Meredith. I have heard from multiple sources that she is the best of the voice faculty so that's good, I was really worried about that. Since my voice lessons at Roosevelt were only 30 minutes a week, they put me as a Sophomore status for voice, which actually works out to my benefit cause in my other classes I'm a junior, so I'll get to have voice lessons all four years technically. :-)
With my voice teacher we are kinda breaking the rules. We have voice twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays for 30 minutes each. I get 15 minutes free. On Wednesday we have studio meeting. We meet with our studio and basically it's like a performance class. We sing for each other and critique each other. It's nice to finally be a part of that.
We have to keep logs on our voice lessons and turn them in at the end of semester. This week we focused on breathing and getting me to breath deeper. I am expected to practice an hour a day and have to keep a log of that as well.
I miss Chicago and our voice lessons, but I am happy with a few of the changes here. I like that I get the studio time to really get to know my peers, and I like that I get an hour a week instead of half.
I also get to take Diction which I'm really excited for.
The program may not be as good as the CCPAs, but it's not awful. And I think that I'll get out of it what I put into it.
I will graduate in 2 1/2 maybe 3 years. I want to graduate as soon as possible. I'm not giving up on my passion, and that's the main thing.
I refuse to loose focus on my goal. I want my classroom. I want my choir. That's really all I want out of life.
